Gremolith was founded in 1941 as a production of Galalithe in Bazenheid (Switzerland). Since the 60ies the company developed into a modern resin manufacturer. In 1976 the active collaboration in the foundry industry with Ashland-Suedchemie-Kernfest GmbH, Germany, led to the foundation of Ashland-Suedchemie-Gremolith AG (ASG). In December 2010 the two companies renamed in ASK chemicals GmbH and ASK chemicals Gremolith AG.
Today Gremolith employs about 20 people, who develop and produce a wide range of resins for various applications. Besides the production of its own products, Gremolith has an important toll manufacturing. They produce resins for customers in the paint, varnish and adhesive industry.
